# FirmAPI – API for Slovak company data

Access data from the Slovak Business Register through a modern REST API – simple, reliable and fast. FirmAPI aggregates 55 public registers into one interface and covers 2,100,000+ entities with a company ID (IČO) – commercial companies, sole traders and non-profit organisations. The JSON API also sends webhooks when companies change.

- **Company Search** – Search companies by IČO, name or other criteria. Autocomplete endpoint for Select2 and similar components.
- **Secure and Reliable** – HTTPS encryption, API key authentication and rate limiting to protect your application.
- **Instant Responses** – A lookup by company ID is served from our own database rather than by querying the register – typically under 100 ms. Registers sync in the background at the cadence each one publishes.
