# Commercial Journal

> Publications from the Slovak Commercial Journal by company ID – bankruptcies, liquidations, register changes and auctions through a REST API.

The Commercial Journal is the official gazette in which facts concerning businesses are published. It is usually the first place a bankruptcy petition, an entry into liquidation or an auction appears – often before it is reflected anywhere else.

## What the register contains
- The section of the journal the announcement belongs to
- Heading and text of the publication
- Date of publication
- Link to the company ID the announcement concerns

## How often we update

Daily. The journal appears on business days and its value lies in being current, so we process new issues continuously.

## What it is used for

Customer monitoring: the bankruptcy section is an early warning. If you track a portfolio of companies, the journal tells you about a change sooner than a financial statement or a debtor list update would.

In legal systems it is used to monitor opposing parties in ongoing disputes and to catch liquidations.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is every announcement bad news?

No. The journal also publishes routine Commercial Register changes and notices of general meetings. What matters is the section the announcement belongs to.

### Will I be notified of a new publication?

Yes, through the commercial_bulletin.published webhook or an email notification on a monitored company.
